I MISSED #200

I'M SUCH A BAD FAN. *runs and crys*

Carlos definetely got payback when Ryan Howard hit that stupid, stupid grand slam. GAHH. Thankfully they came back and won it for us.

Thankfully, we kept the Phillies further from the Wild Card and East.

Thankfully, Shawn Green got a big hit. What I'm about to say is absolutely corny and old but since I'm Jewish it won't matter so MAZEL TOV!!!

79 wins. Can we get to 80 today? Ugh we better. AND PRAY EVERY NIGHT. thx

What a Day *sighs*

Ok, so here's a list of things that happened today:

1) Granny bought me a smoothie.
2) Cheerleading practice was canceled because of the rain.
3) SHAWN GREENY IS HEEEEERE!! *dances*
4) This is the best thing today, I know it's above my Shawn Green excitement, but, and I need to emphasize this...

I'M GETTING PRADA GLASSES!!!!!!!

AAAAAH!!!!!!!

Mom and I prescribed them with my prescription tonight, and I'm making Dad come with me to pick them up tomorrow. I'm keeping my old glasses because I definetely WILL NOT wear my Pradas during gym.

Ok bye. =)

ps...PRADA!!

Yippie! Someone I won't see on Rosh Hashana during the game that day! Hehe I'm so odd.

Where Did I Go?

I honestly had no clue the Mets were playing Monday. When I woke up Tuesday and went to the newspaper, I'm like, "Where was I? How long have I been sleeping for?"

I am soooo pissed that they lost 13-0, and then lost 11-4 yesterday. What kind of strange world is this? I'm fairly happy with Jose, because he actually felt my pain, unlike Carlos...

Oh, Carlos, darling, if the umpire calls you out, you never act like that. Don't you usually accept it? You're too kind to let all that mush get to your head...although...you seem pretty sexy when you're angry... ;D

I didn't see the part where Carlos was standing on first base and Carlos Delgado was running and he ran into Carlos...Carlos was like "Doyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy" and then KERPLUNK!! As you can see, I saw the highlight. I was at cheerleading practice...uhm excuse me, there's no need to stare here, just keep moving...please.

Ok well I can see that Carlos is mad at me for having to fake to hate him. See, the really annoying girl at my school, Michelle, got a screename, and I'm not sure if it's Magda pretending to be her or not. Well, she's really annoying. I thought that if I told "Michelle" that I thought Carlos was ugly and I hate him, Magda would be all "OMG YOU DON'T LIKE CARLOS ANYMORE?!?!?!?!" Well, that didn't happen. "Michelle" googled him and she think's he's the S word. (Um, she means sexy.)

Pffft.

CARLOS I'M HOME!

Oh, yes, it sure is good to be home. Arizona was great, as usual. Grandma was annoying, especially with having to go to the hospital for taking Advil, and talking nonstop about the stocks, her knee, and her new cell phone. I love Grandma, but she talks so much.

8/3/06:Sweet Tomatoes Opening Ceremonies

Just like I remembered, Sweet Tomatoes was glorious. They festivities started with me having a retard moment when I saw that my favorite ST pasta, Penne Aribatta, was out on the pasta buffet. As usual, the chicken noodle soup was delightful. I barely took any chicken or broth. I just wanted the noodles! Finally, for dessert, I got a brownie from the bakery buffet thing, and put frozen (and super cold) yogurt on it with oreo crumbs. Um, can you say "Simply amazing"?

8/4/06: Starbucks The First Sugar Bowl Rush

What can be better than coffee ice cream in the greatest ice cream parlor ever made?

Also, I made a build-a-bear, but that's completely obvious. He was an awesome-looking dog and I named him Starbucks. Hehe..

8/6/06: Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Borat and Carlos

Dad, Tyler and I went to the Fashion Square mall to go see Talladega nights with Aunt Dina and Daniel, our Arizonian (hehe) cousin. When the previews were being shown, there was a preview for a movie called "Borat" and Tyler fell in love with it. You need to see the preview. It was hilarious and Tyler and I have an amount of interest in it, yet it's rated R and I won't ever be able to get in, unless I stuff my bra and wear make-up to make me look older, but make-up isn't my style.

Anyways, Talladega nights was pure funny, and Will Ferrell rules, but I had to get back to the hotel BADLY since the Mets were on ESPN.

When my parents dropped Ty and me off, Tyler gave me a room key and I ran to the room and I was screaming "CCAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!", but very quietly. I only saw Carlos bat once, but before the inning began where he batted, ESPN showed a clip of Carlos talking about team chemistry. Daaaannnggg. He's sexy. And the quote of that day was,

"HE DOES SPEAK ENGLISH!" -Tyler.

In your face, brothah man.

8/8/06: Giants vs. Diamondbacks

My pictures from the game aren't uploaded to my laptop, so I probably won't be posting them, because Mom might delete them. Anyways, Barry Bonds was booed, of course. Just as planned, I took many pictures of Shawn Green for Jewish pride (HAHAAA!!). We also sat next to the Giants' bullpen, and I spotted a Spongebob backpack. Tyler and I yelled to the players, "NICE BACKPACK!!" and we took like 6 pictures of it. Hah. I also took a picture of the peanut mess they made and a coffee holder.

One of the pitchers tried to throw a peanut shell to Tyler, but he didn't catch it. Tyler asked Dad for the Goldfish pretzels, but Dad refused, even though Ty was only joking.

Speaking of pitchers, I happened to get a pitcher of Armando Benitez in the bullpen. I really don't have another comment about that, though.

8/9/06: Tale of the Rookie League

Dad was walking out to the parking lot after he brought Grandma to the hospital (it was a whole thing about taking Advil over 65. Don't ask) when he saw that the lights at Scottsdale Stadium were on. Scottsdale Stadium and the hospital are literally neighbors, along with Los Olivos being a great Mexican restaurant, and another neighbor, so it was a short walk for Dad.

He walked into the Stadium to see that the Padres vs. the Giants were having their rookie teams playing there. IT WAS FREE, and only, like, 15 people were there. Dad and Tyler went to Papago Park in Phoenix a few times after that to see the A's rookie team play.

8/11/06: Sweet Tomatoes 2006 Finale (a quote from Tyler)

Before I say anything, it's the anniversary of the Carlos-Cammy collision. Let's all have a moment of silence, please...ok all done.

ST didn't have my Penne Aribatta, but they had Vegetarian Marinara, which I did like.

The biggest controversy started with how we could bring the soup home to show the New Jersey-side family. Mom thought they didn't have to-go bowls and stuff, but I figured out on the first day that they did. We also had to buy a very stirdy container wrapped with duct tape to hold the soup instead of the plastic bowls so it doesn't spill in the plane, and since there was that new rule about no liquids past security check, we had to put it in our regular luggage. Oh, the terror.

Then, my brother and I had the finale. I had my brownie with the frozen yogurt on top, and oreo crumbs, and he had apple cobbler with ice cream on top. After that, I left. For a whole year. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

8/12/06: Eat-in Night and Little League

Arizona ended with watching a match of Phoenix vs. Fresno Little League on ESPN, along with Aunt Dina, Uncle Barry, and Daniel coming to our hotel room for our annual Eat-in night, which we have every year the day before we leave. They had chinese, and we had Italian.

Lastly, we had to say goodbye until they came to New Jersey in October for my Bat-Mitzvah. And that was that.

8/13/06: See Ya Soon, Arizona.

Our flight was at 11 am. We were there early, so Tyler bought ESPN the Magazine at a bookstore to entertain him. He gave it to me first, and I saw the Mr. Met picture, which I love. I also LOOOVE the Jocks with Cameras article. Here's a memorable quote from Bronson Arroyo's section:

"After I pitched on Saturday, we were out all night. Then we got Wendy's."

My brother loved that. Enough said.

On the plane, they showed She's the Man. Lately, I've been seeing Channing Tatum everywhere. I think it's his name that gets to me.

What kind of name is Channing?

Mom made a new friend on the plane who was going to New York for the first time. He works for this mortgage company from the west that's coming to the east, too. An Angels fan, he's going to see the Yankees play them at Yankee Stadium. Tyler was showing off about Yankee Stadium, and I'm like "Shea is way better."

Tyler: Shea Stadium is the ugliest stadium I've ever seen.
Me: WELL IT HAS MORE COLORS INSTEAD OF BORING NAVY!

Pshh.

What really went wrong was that our driver didn't show up and my parents made me take a cab. I yelled "DO YOU WANT MY SHOULDER TO BE SEPARATED??" and it was so embarrassing that our neighbors from across the street were playing basketball, and they were watching. I never want to be seen in a taki ever again. ESPECIALLY WHEN PEOPLE ARE WATCHING.

<><><>

Now I'm home, back in Mets land. I missed Carlos more than anything, except Granny and Grandpa, my cousins, and my friends. During the time I was gone, Carlos didn't hit one homerun. I think he missed me, too. And my bed was so comfy.

Today, Tyler and I will be going to Granny's house to distribute the soup, which Mom tasted last night. It was cold, but she said it was perfect. I can't wait at all.

<><><>

Now, for the things I've missed.

1: Leave Paulie alone, ok? If anyone needs to know anything about anyone's personal life, go stalk Carlos.
2: Is Michael Tucker related to John Tucker?
3: I MISS CARLOS
4: the Harlem RBI kids were killing Carlos. I saw the picture in the NY Times. Grandma's friend gets the National edition. I think it was the full article.
5: To get back, Carlos molested a kid at his clinic. Yes, I'm kidding, but he's touching one of the kid's chests, so, I had to use humor.
6:CARLOS COME BAAAAACKKKK and be mvp pleeeease...!! =)

Well, bye bye Mister.

Kissy Kissy

Tonight's gonna be my last night to see Carlos play for 10 days. He's gonna miss me. It's obvious. He made a kissy kissy face in that picture. Aww Carlos honey, I'm gonna miss you, too! *kissy kissy*

Well, I'm leaving for Arizona tomorrow, with my flight being at 7 am. I may update once or twice, and if I don't, I'll tell all about my trip when I get back. I probably won't because the laptop is usually in the room we're always in, and my brother watches me like I'm a 7 year old and I don't know what I'm doing.

I don't feel like we're going on the trip. It just seemed like school got out yesterday. This summer is going by too fast, I'm not sure what to do! Oh, right. I'm seeing John Tucker Must Die today with Sami. Hehe..

I constantly watch ESPN in Arizona, thanks to my brother always hogging the TV in the living room part of our hotel room. Therefore, I'll be have more than enough football information, and football is SO annoying, especially since people care about that more than my birthday. Um, I'm going to be a teenager in January, which is so much more important than a measly Terrell Owens controversy and such.

Hopefully, the Mets will be on once on ESPN during my vacation. Last year, I saw them play the Cubs and I was freaking about how cute Carlos looked. =) I have a true love, you can so totally tell..

Well, wish me bon voyage and I will wish you kissy kissy! Haha..

Bye bye Mister.

It's Time for Me to Put On a Drama

It always seemed like that since I turned 11 bad things have been happening here when I left for Arizona. When I was in Arizona last year, it was at the time of the Cammy-Carlos collision. Since Arizona doesn't have New York channels (and you should know that by now), I didn't know about it until my brother turned on ESPN.

I just turned off my iPod and I was listening to "Savin' Me" by Nickleback. Why is it mentioning the word "save?" It's not fair. I feel like I'm about to burst into tears now that Duaner could be gone for months, and Xavier's gone forever. If a miracle happens, Ban Ban will be able to come back up and resume from his last start just like he has a 5 or 6 day rest.

Doesn't Duaner know McDonald's can kill him even if he wasn't in a cab?People have such nerves these days...

Reading the Record this morning, it doesn't look like Roberto Hernandez has those quality numbers I thought Omar would trade for to have. He's fine, but I'm just afraid that he could make it worse.

Duaner, what is wrong with your little brain?

I need cheering up = "Futures" by Jimmy Eat World, Cabaret, and Carlos.

Tell me, is our year gone? It can't be. We came this far and we're going to be at the best point. This may be such an emo post, but Duaner's accident could actually be a strong point in the season. I'm arguing this because we know we want to get far in the season, and we're trying hard. But now that we lost one player (or two, rather), we need to work harder, which will make us stronger.

Say hello to good times...
